SkincareRx - Nuxe

I recently got an email from SkincareRx that they were depositing $10 into my account. I think it was a reward on previous purchases. They're pretty much the only place I buy skincare products anymore. They're very fast, reliable, friendly and almost always have some sort of excellent coupon code. Plus they often have some sort of perks that they'll send to you in email. Anyway, back to my purchase - I needed a new cleanser. I'd been using First Aid Beauty cleanser and I loved it but I wanted something a little lighter for now because the weather is so nasty hot. I decided to try Nuxe. I had never tried anything from them previously but had always meant to, if you know what I mean. So, the Reve de Miel (Gentle Cleansing Gel) looked good to me. It is WONDERFUL. It thoroughly cleans my face without stripping it and it smells like honey. I notice after washing that my face is very soft and clean feeling but not that squeaky feeling you get from some cleansers. It's got honey, lime-blossom & peach in the formula. Here's what's on the bottle:

Soothing and softening with Honey, Lime-Blossom and Peach

  • All skin types
  • Suitable for all the family* (not for children under 36 months)
  • Ingredients: Honey 1%, Lime-Blossom Extract 4%, Peach Extract 1%, Walnut Extract 3%, Ginseng 1%, Plant-derived Washing Base.

This very mild gel gently cleanses the skin every day and protects the hydrolipidic film. Skin is clear, fresh and satin-smooth.

Next up, I figured I might as well get a new treatment/moisturizer and decided to stick with Nuxe. The Radiance Resurfacing Cream looked good to me because it says right on it "for skin with imperfections", so I ordered it. :) Another great decision! Again, smells wonderful, feels great, seems to be refining my skin (keeping pores clear, clearing up face, evening things out) but it's just too early to tell yet. What it has done is evened out the texture - my skin was rough and dry in some patches, flaky in some and oily in others. Nice combo, huh? My skin's been nuts this summer with the humidity and heat. So, fingers crossed that I'll see some amazing results but even if I don't, it feels good & smells good and moisturizes so that's enough for me. :) From the jar:

Creme Etincelante®

I love the Nuxe Reve de Miel range, if you can get your hands on their lip balm, it's just wonderful. And their handcream is the only thing that soothes my dry hands in the Winter.
The Crème Etincelante is wonderful and I love its smell, unfortunately my skin won't agree with the daily application of fruit acids (even though I can handle AHA and BHA, go figure). You make me want to try it again ;-) They have a lotion version for people who want a less rich formulation, too.
