Eyeliner Comparison Swatches - MAC Black Line, Clinique Egyptian, Stila Moray

I thought that Black Line was very similar to Stila Moray Smudgestick & Clinique Egyptian Creamshaper.  So, today I decided to swatch them side by side and see.

If we consider Black Line the "control", then:

• Egyptian's base is more brown than Black Line's.
• Moray is almost spot on, but it needs more black.  You could probably get the same effect by using Moray over a black liner.  
• They all felt pretty much the same when I applied them, but when I tried to smudge them, Moray & Black Line didn't budge, while Egyptian smeared.
• Stila is $20 for .01oz, Clinique is $14.50 for .04oz, MAC is $14.50 for .04oz.

Here they all are together. And here is a very sloppy application of LBD & PP. I had already put on e/s and mascara when this package arrived so I just slapped it on really quickly to see how I liked it. These are FANTASTIC. After I took these pics, I tried to rub the bottom liner off because I didn't want to go pick up my son from school like this and it didn't move. Several hours later and still looks just as it did in the pics - except for the lower liner, I ended up dipping a Q-tip in makeup remover to get it off. The pictures are actually pretty true to color in real life.

All have the most amazing, soft texture. All are extremely pigmented. Only one that's iffy is the navy which is a bit chalky. I tried so hard to capture the beauty of the white one, which flashes gold.

Stila 24kt Gloss in Precious Coral (Beauty.com freebie)

Thoughts: Nice scent, no taste, beautiful color & packaging. Applicator sucks - I hate the click pens for lipgloss and the brush feels scratchy. Texture leaves a bit to be desired - a bit on the gritty side and fairly sticky. Verdict: Awesome freebie but wouldn't pay $22 for this... probably wouldn't pay over $7-$8 for it.

Stila Charmed Palette Swatches

First, the colors are gorgeous and I think could work on warm or cool, light or dark people. Second, the quality is typical of Stila shadows - extremely soft and pigmented. The finish of all but the dark indigo color are metallic. I'm not sure how to describe the finish of the indigo so I'll let the pics/swatches speak for themselves.
